Vitamins & Minerals Sensor

Vitamins and minerals are essential micronutrients which an organism needs in small quantities for the proper functioning of its metabolism. Essential nutrients cannot be synthesized in the organism, either at all or not in sufficient quantities, and therefore must be obtained through the diet. Vitamins are organic substances that are generally classified as either fat soluble or water soluble. Fat-soluble vitamins dissolve in fat and tend to accumulate in the body. Water-soluble vitamins must dissolve in water before they can be absorbed by the body, and therefore cannot be stored. Any water-soluble vitamins unused by the body is primarily lost through urine. Minerals are inorganic elements present in soil and water, which are absorbed by plants or consumed by animals. While you’re likely familiar with calcium, sodium, and potassium, there is a range of other minerals, including trace minerals needed in very small amounts.

Nanoparticle Synthesis, Characterization & Bioconjugation for Nano probe

The increasing demand of clinical biomedicine and fast development of nanobiotechnology have substantially promoted the generation of a variety of organic/inorganic nanosystems for bioanalysis and biomedical applications. The recent process of my research in nanomaterials-based DNA biosensor bioanalysis was further developed & characterized & applied in analysis of vitamins and minerals, theophylline, caffeine, P53 Protein, Bisphenol. Unique gold nanoparticle labeling technology uses chemically cross-linked metal clusters and nanoparticles as labels was developed. Nano bioprobe preparation & analysis was featured in Analytical method journals. (Anal. Methods, 2013,5, 1806-1810).
